The Armored Mobile Master-Slave System, more commonly known as the Arm Slave, is a bipedal robotic machine that revolutionized the way war is waged. The introduction of ASes made it possible to carry the force of a tank through virtually any environment, and be able to perform far more complicated tasks that mimicked the controlled movements of the pilot. The earliest ASes were powered by diesel engines, then gas turbine, and in the 3rd generation they were equipped with the far more advanced Palladium Reactor.
The Palladium Reactor utilizes Thomas Graham’s Cold Fusion Theory, which is a hypothetical type of nuclear reaction that takes place close to, or at room temperature. The Palladium Reactor can be outfitted for various uses, such as powering Arm Slaves or the TDD-1, which takes 3 to power it. Like other forms of radioactive powered technology, the Palladium Reactor is able to power its devices for long periods of time.
Used primarily on 3rd generation Arm Slaves, ECS, is a series of lenses and lights which project ultraviolet light waves, which allows the unit appear invisible. When faced against older model Arm Slaves such as the RK-92, the ECS is able completely hide it, though equally advanced ASes may still be able to sense the heat signature or energy output. The main weak point of the ECS however, is that there is a heavy scent of ozone during it’s use, and animals that are sensitive to ultraviolet light may still be able to see a cloaked AS.
The TDD-1 is the most advanced attack submarine in the world, its original frame coming from a Typhoon-Class sub. The propulsion system was upgraded, layers of memory metal that is capable of changing its shape to improve the ship’s efficiency and stealth within the water. The EMFC-Smartskin, or ElectroMagnetic Fluidics Controller, makes use of various clusters of microminiaturized superconductors which have the ability to suppress turbulence and ease resistance while moving through the water.

TAROS
The oldest TAROS was used in Yamsk11, which resulted in the birth of the Whispered and discovery of Black Technology. Newer versions of the TAROS were created and integrated into machines such as the TDD-1, and adapted for use within Lambda Driver equipped ASes. The most powerful version was built primarily by Leonard in the abandoned Merida Island Base, and was able to twist the fabric of space and time in order to rewrite history. This version was renamed for its special purpose, the Telechrono Alteration Reactor Transfer and Response Omnisphere, or TARTAROS.
The Lambda Driver is one of the prime pieces of Black Technology, allowing the user to warp reality immediately surrounding them to accomplish seemingly impossible feats. Sousuke's connection with the AI Al gives him superiority over most Lambda Driver equipped units. His only match is against the Whispered Leonard, who is able to more deeply connect with the TAROS and fully utilize its reality-alterating capabilities.
